You build and manage your board from your computer, phone, or tablet. The classroom TV shows the board through a private link — no login needed on the screen, and it refreshes itself automatically every minute.
So you tweak things from your desk, and the TV keeps up on its own.
From your Boards page, choose New board. Give it a name (like “Room 7” or “Afternoon Board”).
You can make more than one board and even duplicate a board you like as a starting point for another — handy for a base board plus variations.
Open a board and tap ☰ More → 🧩 Cards. Every card lives here — weather, timer, joke, word of the day, today's date, Today at a Glance, polls, and more.
Each card has a “Show on the board” switch. Flip it on to put the card on your board, off to take it away — the card keeps whatever you typed in it, so turning it back on brings your words with it.
Quicker route: on the board itself, tap the dashed ＋ Add a card tile and it takes you straight to this page. (That tile only shows while you're editing — it never appears on the TV.)
Turn on only the cards you want. Everything fits one TV screen, so if you see a “too full” note, hide or shrink a card.
Tap ✋ Rearrange, then drag a card — the others slide out of the way to show where it will land. Works with a finger on a touch TV.
In ✏️ Customize you can resize a card, change its style (the ‹ › arrows), make the background see-through, and shrink or grow its text with A− / A+.
Tap ✏️ Customize, then tap any card to edit it — type your own joke, message, or schedule, or leave it blank to use the automatic daily content.
“Use automatic” hands a card back to the daily rotation at any time.
Tap 🎨 Theme for seasonal, holiday, and anytime themes. There's a checkbox for gentle floating decorations (falling snow, bubbles, stars).
For sensory-sensitive rooms, you can switch decorations off, and all animations automatically respect a device's “reduce motion” setting.
Tap ✨ Stickers to pin any picture or GIF — a big arrow, a character — anywhere on the board, even on top of a card. Drag to move, and use the little controls to resize or rotate. It shows on the TV in the same spot.
The Library is a shared pool of jokes, facts, quotes, questions, turn-&-talk prompts, would-you-rathers, words, writing prompts, morning messages, and polls — used across all your boards.
It's stocked automatically from your first visit, so there's nothing to import. Add your own anytime, and the usage history shows when and where an item was last used.
Words can be tagged 💛 SEL (social-emotional learning), and Word of the Day has an “SEL words only” mode.
The Planner lets you drop specific content onto specific days. It shows only the cards your board actually uses, so there's nothing to memorize.
Need to plan for a card you haven't turned on yet? Use “Show all cards” to see everything.
On a board, tap 🔗 TV link to copy that board's display link. Open it on the classroom TV (or paste it into your TV's browser) and leave it up.
Got more than one board? Your Boards page has a single 📺 Your TV link that opens a chooser showing all your boards — bookmark that one link on the classroom computer and just tap which board to show each day. You can reset it anytime from your Boards page if it ever gets out.
Either link needs no login and is private-but-unguessable. Edits you make from your desk appear on the TV within a minute.
Brain Break plays a single YouTube video you paste in — a dance-along, a stretch, a calm-down clip.
Video Board holds up to eight of them at once. Paste the links in ✏️ Customize and give each one a short label (“20-minute beach countdown”, “Forest timer”), and the board shows them as a grid of thumbnails. Tap one to play it big, then “← Back to videos” to pick another.
Put Video Board on its own board at the large size and it fills the whole screen — handy for countdown timers and brain-break time.
Class Poll: tap an answer to add a vote and watch the bars grow; raise-your-hand voting works on the TV too.
Mood Check-In: as students arrive they tap how they're feeling, and a colored graph shows the room's mood. The bars grow with each of the first ten check-ins, and every tap gives a little bounce so a student can see their vote land even once a bar is full. It resets each morning. Turn on student check-in to let them tap on the TV, and flip on totals if you want the numbers.
Both cards are anonymous: Classroomie counts the taps, never who tapped. By default the tallying happens on your teacher device and the TV mirrors it; turn on student check-in if you'd rather they tap the screen themselves.
Lean on the visual cards — Today at a Glance, Today's Date, Number of the Day, Color & Shape — which anchor routine and reduce anxiety.
Keep a calm theme and turn floating decorations down if they distract. Bump up card text size with A+ for easier reading from the carpet.
Classroomie is built so student information never goes in. There are no student accounts and no student logins, and no card holds a student's name, photo, birthday, or attendance.
The cards students can tap — Class Poll and Mood Check-In — record anonymous totals only. They count how many taps each choice got; they never record who tapped what.
When you add a picture by link, Classroomie only accepts a short list of sources (YouTube, GIPHY, Unsplash and similar). Links from personal photo services like Google Photos, Drive, iCloud, and Dropbox are blocked, so a student photo can't end up on the board by accident.
Your TV links are long and unguessable, and they're set so search engines can't index them. Please keep students' names and personal details out of the free-text cards — the board is made to be shown on a screen the whole room can see. Full details are on the Privacy page.
